About Pennal
In terms of scenery, Pennal ranks with the world’s best and its flora and fauna reflect the range of landscape…from heather-clad hilltops to the River Dyfi, one of the best sea trout rivers in the world.
Culture and heritage abound with links to the Prince of Wales Owain Glyndwr and to Wales’ answer to Juliet (Romeo and Juliet)… Lleucu Llwyd.
Here the residents and businesses are combining to develop resilience to climate change and the other threats facing rural areas through the Pennal 2050 scheme. Our project has received funding through the Sustainable Management Scheme – Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government
Our farming community leads the way in maintaining this landscape, which includes a UNESCO biosphere and Dyfi Estuary Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). We have a lovely church and even a Roman fort.
You can help us in our mission to maintain our unique community by donating to our Community Funds here.
Please check for any Covid restrictions in your home area, en-route and in Wales before travelling and do comply – for your own and our residents’ safety. Thank you.
O ran golygfeydd, mae Pennal yn rhengoedd gyda gorau’r byd ac mae ei fflora a’i ffawna yn adlewyrchu amrywiaeth y tirwedd…o ben bryniau wedi’u gorchuddio a grug i Afon Dyfi, un o’r afonydd brithyll mor gorau more garau yn y byd.
Mae diwylliant a threftadaeth yn gyforiog o gysylltiadau ag Owain Glyndwr Tywysog Cymru ac i ‘Gymru’ ateb Juliet (Romeo a Juliet) … Lleucu Llwyd.
Yma, mae’r trigolion a busnesau yn cyfuno i ddatblygu gwytnwch yn wyneb newid hinsawdd a bygythiadau eraill sy’n wynebu ardaloedd gwledig drwy’r cynllun Pennal 2050. Mae ein prosiect wedi derbyn cyllid drwy’r Cynllun Rheoli Cynaliadwy – Llywodraeth Cymru Cymunedau Gwledig – Rhaglen Datblygu Gwledig 2014-2020, sy’n cael ei ariannu gan Gronfa Amaethyddol Ewrop ar gyfer Datblygu Gwledig a Llywodraeth Cymru.
Mae ein cymuned amaethyddol yn arwain y ffordd drwy gynnal y tirwedd hwn, sy’n cynnwys Biosffer Dyfi sy’n ddynodiad gan UNESCO a Safle o Ddiddordeb Gwyddonol Arbennig Aber Afon Dyfi (SSSI). Mae gennym eglwys hyfryd a hyd yn oed Gaer Rufeinig.
Gallwch ein helpu gyda’n nod o gynnal ein cymuned unigryw trwy gyfrannu at ein Cronfeydd Cymunedol yma.
Gwiriwch y cyfyngiadau Covid yn eich ardal chi, ar eich taith a thra yng Nghymru cyn teithio, a chydymffurfiwch â nhw os gwelwch yn dda – er eich lles chi a’n trigolion. Diolch.
